Our Work
Our collaborative capacity development encompasses the following areas:
- Law, management, economics and international relations at postgraduate level.
- Short term skill enhancing courses on legislative drafting and parliamentary democracy for MPs.
- Effective training methods for trainers of judicial personnel in cooperation with regional and federal institutions in Ethiopia.
- Series of skill enhancing training such as on investigation, prosecution, independence of the judiciary and judgment writing.
- Along with the post graduate level courses and short term training programs, a variety of activities have been conducted in the areas of research and consultancy.
Our Impact
Over 19 projects have been instituted since commencement, in which 1000 participants have been able to take advantage of these training and educational opportunities.
Over 200 academics from over 20 European, African and American higher institutions of learning have taken part, to date, in our training programs, and have taught in the various educational and training programs implemented in Ethiopian institutions.
An international network has been established, consisting of scholars who share a common vision of the goals and implementation methods for capacity building in Ethiopia.
